Oakland Urban Paths is a great group to know if you enjoy city hiking in the East Bay. They offer monthly guided walks; the next one is this Saturday, February 9, from Lakeshore Avenue to Park Boulevard. (I'm going to see Dave Barry at the Ferry Building in SF, or I'd be there.)
